Terms of Service
Last updated: 30 September 2026
Under review — these terms apply as written today; any change will show a new date above.
These Terms govern your use of the La Luna Bachata Festival website, your purchase of tickets for La Luna Bachata Festival 2026, held 6 – 9 November 2026 at Åby Arena in Göteborg, Sweden, and your participation in that event. By visiting the site, creating an account, or purchasing a ticket, you accept these Terms together with the Privacy Policy. References to “the event” mean the edition your ticket is for.
1. Service Provider
This website and the event are operated by:
2. Tickets and Payment
- Passes are sold by Casa Luna's ticket shop and hotel packs by Casa Luna's ticket shop. The shop you buy from is the seller for that order: it takes the payment and confirms the order, and its own terms and privacy notice apply to the purchase.
- Prices are in euros (€), VAT included, as the shop shows them at checkout.
- A ticket is personal and tied to the name and email used at purchase. Need to transfer it? You can change the name for a €10 fee up to 7 days before the event (see §3). Resale above face value is not permitted.
- Your ticket grants access to the workshops, parties, and activities listed for the pass tier you purchased. Minor changes to the published programme (artist substitutions, room reassignments) may occur.
3. Refund and Cancellation Policy
- Tickets are non-refundable — but they remain transferable (see the next point).
- Name change / transfer (€10). Can't make it? Transfer your ticket to someone else by changing the name on it for a €10 fee, up to 7 days before the event. Email orders@casaluna.se and we'll make the change.
- If we cancel the event for reasons within our control, ticket holders receive a full refund of the ticket price.
- If we cancel for reasons outside our control (force majeure, government order, venue closure, public-health restrictions), refunds may be reduced or replaced with a credit toward a future event. We will communicate the exact terms in writing.
- Any refund is made through the shop you bought from.
Swedish consumer law (distansavtalslagen) does not generally apply a right of withdrawal to tickets for events on a specified date — but we will always honour mandatory consumer protections that do apply.
4. Account and Authentication
If you create an attendee account (via Google or Apple OAuth, or an email one-time code), you are responsible for the security of the linked provider account or email inbox. We may suspend access if we suspect unauthorised use or fraud. You can sign out at any time, and your session expires automatically after the periods listed in the Privacy Policy.
5. Code of Conduct
We are committed to a safe, inclusive event for every dancer. By attending, you agree to:
- Treat fellow dancers, staff, instructors, and venue personnel with respect.
- Ask before initiating physical contact, including a dance.
- Accept “no” gracefully — in any context, from anyone.
- Refrain from harassment, discrimination, or any conduct that creates an unsafe environment.
- Follow venue rules and instructions from staff.
Violations may result in removal from the event without refund. Serious violations will be reported to law enforcement. If you experience or witness misconduct, contact a staff member or email orders@casaluna.se.
6. Photography and Filming
The event will be photographed and filmed by official media for promotional purposes. By attending, you consent to your image appearing in event coverage (social media, marketing materials, highlight reels). If you do not consent, notify staff at check-in — we will note your preference and exclude you from promotional material to the extent reasonably possible.
Personal, non-commercial photos by attendees are welcome, provided you respect others' preferences and do not disrupt workshops or performances.
7. User-Generated Content
If you submit content via the onboarding wizard, attendee directory, or any admin tool — including text, images, suggestions, or messages — you grant us a non-exclusive, royalty-free, worldwide licence to use that content for the purpose of operating the event and website. You are responsible for ensuring you have the rights to whatever you upload, and that it does not infringe any third party's rights.
8. Prohibited Use
You may not:
- Attempt to bypass authentication, role checks, or access controls.
- Probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the site or its infrastructure without prior written authorisation.
- Interfere with site availability (e.g., automated requests beyond reasonable use, denial-of-service attempts).
- Upload malware, illegal content, or content that infringes others' rights.
- Resell tickets above face value, or transfer them in violation of Section 2.
- Use the site or event branding in a way that suggests official affiliation without our written permission.
9. Intellectual Property
All website content (text, logos, photographs, schedule data, brand marks) is owned by Casa Luna AB or licensed from contributors. You may not reproduce, distribute, or create derivative works without written permission, except for personal, non-commercial use such as sharing your own attendance on social media.
The “La Luna Bachata Festival” name and visual identity are unregistered trademarks of the operator.
10. Disclaimers
The website and event are provided on an “as is” basis. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability of the website, particularly for live features during the event. We do not warrant that the site is error-free or that defects will be corrected immediately.
Dance carries inherent physical risk. By participating, you acknowledge that you do so at your own risk and confirm you are medically fit for physical activity.
11. Limitation of Liability
To the extent permitted by Swedish law, our total liability arising from your use of the website or attendance at the event is limited to the price you paid for your ticket. We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages — including loss of profit, loss of data, travel costs, or accommodation costs — even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.
This limitation does not apply to liability for personal injury caused by negligence, gross negligence, intentional misconduct, or any liability that cannot be excluded under mandatory Swedish law.
12. Governing Law and Dispute Resolution
These Terms are governed by Swedish law. Disputes will first be attempted resolved through good-faith negotiation. If that fails, the courts of Göteborg (Göteborgs tingsrätt) have exclusive jurisdiction.
Consumers retain the right to bring disputes before their local competent court and to use alternative dispute-resolution mechanisms under mandatory consumer-protection law.
13. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top reflects the most recent change. For ticket holders, material changes will be announced by email at least 14 days before they take effect. Continued use of the site or attendance at the event after the effective date constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
